Announcement on Traffic Control during the 2009 China Football Super League (CSL) and 2009 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League
We hereby announce that, Approved by the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, hosted by the Chinese Football Association (CFA), and sponsored by the Beijing Football Association (BFA), the 2009 CSL home games of Beijing Guoan Football Club will be held in Beijing Worker’s Stadium during the term from March 21, 2009 to October 31, 2009. The total number of the games is 15. Three group qualifiers of the 2009 AFC Champions League sponsored by Beijing Guoan Football Club Co., Ltd. will be held in Beijing Worker’s Stadium from March 10 to May (to November if qualified for the knockout stage). In order to maintain a favorable environment for the two events and ensure traffic safety during the games, and in line with the Law of the People's Republic of China on Road Traffic Safety and Regulations for the Implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Road Traffic Safety, we hereby announce that:
First, during the competition period from March 10, 2009 to CSL and AFC Champions League in Beijing in November, traffic control measures shall be implemented in accordance with specific situations on the roads from Shitiao Bridge (exclusive) to the North Crossing of Beijing Workers' Stadium East Road via Beijing Workers’ Stadium North Road; from Chaoyangmen Bridge (exclusive) to Dongda bridge via Chaowai Street; Beijing Workers’ Stadium East Road, South Road as well as West Road. Only such vehicles as buses and vehicles holding the certificate issued by the Organizing Committee shall be allowed to pass.
Second, no vehicles shall be parked along the roads in the above-mentioned traffic control areas.
It’s advisable for social units and residents to give understanding and support and consciously follow the aforementioned instructions.
